Ali Jamb was launched in Tauranga more than 20 years ago by founder Merv, who was performing garage door jamb installations and determined to find an alternative to timber jambs which were hard to work with and not delivering clients satisfactory results. He invented Ali Jambs, began installing it throughout the area, and quickly gained recognition for his revolutionary door jamb solution. Merv built the company for 20 years before retiring, when he sold the business to Darren Peattie, who is proud to carry the torch and build on Merv’s success.

Darren Peattie is a man of many hats, an experienced mechanic by trade, and the former owner of a lucrative outdoor canopy business; he had a history of entrepreneurial success before buying Ali Jambs three years ago.
