Franchise Profile
Since launching in 1983 as a small cooperative of five book and stationery retailers under the name Nationwide Stationers, Paper Plus has grown exponentially. By 1987, the rapid expansion and popularity of the brand necessitated a rebranding, and Paper Plus emerged as a significant player in New Zealand's retail landscape. Over the decades, Paper Plus has expanded its footprint by acquiring brands like Take Note, Books & More and integrated New Zealand Post services into most stores. Leadership at Paper Plus has consistently driven innovation, steering the brand through major transformations to keep pace with the evolving retail environment. From an award-winning rebrand in 2011 to the 2019 launch of an advanced transaction website enhancing the brand's omnichannel capabilities, Paper Plus has cemented its status as New Zealand’s leading book and stationery retailer. Now, the brand is eager to welcome passionate new Members to shape the future of this beloved Kiwi brand.
