After more than a decade working in corporate communications, Jane Thomson’s passion for the wine industry saw her hosting small wine dinners and events for family and friends while she cultivated an equally passionate online community of fellow enthusiasts. Within 12 months her network had spoken, and she began organising public events for group members to sample, buy and be educated about wine and the women who produce it. That was back in 2012, and since then, the brand has expanded, moving from strength to strength as it holds women’s wine events around the country.

Jane believes in women supporting women and has devoted her business to empowering and connecting women producers and consumers in the industry. Along with The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society, Jane has also founded the Australian Women in Wine Awards, which recognises and celebrates the incredible talent of female winemakers throughout the country. After a decade of steady growth and enduring success, Jane is enthusiastic to bring The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society to new regions across the country.
