Franchisees are able to establish a fitness centre well below the usual investment required due to the Franchisor importing its own branded range of equipment, and passing on wholesale rates to its franchisees. Z24HourFitness gyms are located in smaller towns and regions where locals often don’t have access to the same standard of facilities found in abundance within larger towns and cities. Franchisor

Five years ago Derek Taylor was frustrated with the lack of choice and standard of fitness facilities available in his local area of Ruakaka, so set about finding premises and then sourcing  high quality fitness equipment. Three months later he opened his doors and immediately the customers came. Two years on with a highly successful business on his hands, he realised residents in Whangarei who were travelling 30km’s to use his facilities were experiencing the same frustration he had. Derek opened his second gym, with a much larger footprint and within 6 months had well over 500 active members and the rest is history. Derek is passionate about fitness and health and is now taking the brand into other smaller towns and regions across New Zealand with equally passionate individuals.
