Dr Daya and Dr Padmina Howpage are each esteemed Doctors, highly regarded in their field. When they first founded Mind Connections Specialist Health Services they had little experience in business management but plenty of passion and ambition. Their devotion to community outreach and better mental health outcomes quickly saw their first centre explode into a busy second practice which now receives referrals from more than 1600 GPs. Over the 15 years that the practice has been in operation, steadily increasing growth means the centres now have 2000 active patient, who receive up to 9000 consults per year. Their rapid success has allowed the two to start several generous charity and grassroots operations focusing on community health and medical student development. Between them they are founders of both the Positive Vibes Foundation and Mind Connections Foundation. These foundations provide a number of supports to students and the wider community, offering accessible programs, financial aid, and activities to those who need it most.
